Interview with Ulhas Tayade

~ New Article on Sharpe Pointe ~

The latest thing we've done, after the Clive Richards article, is an interview with Ulhas Tayade. He is one of the Indian actors that worked on Sharpe's Peril. We thought we would start featuring Sharpe's Peril again, since PBS is showing Peril and Challenge in the US next year. Here is the link to the article:

Clive Richards Visits Seringaptam

~ New Article on Sharpe Pointe ~

I wanted to send you an update to the articles we've recently published on Sharpe Pointe.  We are so happy to be able to update our site again.

http://www.sharpepointe.com

We have recently published several new articles:

Seringapatam:  We are so pleased to bring you another interesting article from Clive Richards.  This time Clive tells us about a visit to Seringapatam with his wife Mary-Anne.  All Sharpe fans recognize that name and battle from Bernard Cornwell's Sharpe's Tiger.  I hope you visit our site and enjoy reading Clive's article.

The Story of the Sharpe Chefs:   Adele James, and Guest Author Melise Leech bring you Part 3 and 4 of the continuing story of the Sharpe Chefs very successful charity cookbooks.  In Part 3 find out how Sharpe himself contributed to the first cookbook.  Part 4 takes us behind-the-scenes on all the work needed to go from an idea to an actual cookbook.

Messages to the Club from Sharpe's Pointe.com

It is so nice to hear from you, and we are so pleased to know that you and your group like Sharpe Pointe.

Thank you for asking if we have any new updates.  We have a couple of interview in the works, and an article or two in the future.   We hope to have them on the website soon, and we'll certainly let you know when we do.

We have extended the deadline for the Sharpe's Peril spear contest to January 18.  Please let members of your group know all they need to do is submit one idea about how to use the spear for any purpose other than a weapon.  They can go to http://www.sharpepointe.com for details.

We've also been discussing the future of our website and ideas for new features.  We thought one way to find out would be to take a poll of our visitors and see what they would like to see on our site.  If you have any ideas you would like to share with us in this regard, we would love to have your input.  One idea we've been discussing is finding contributors to do reviews of the Sharpe series,  having both the male and female point of view for each episode.  If you, or any of the members of your group would be interested in reviewing the Sharpe episodes for our site, please let us know.

We have been thinking of posting a notice on our site to look for volunteer web support, hopefully someone current with web technologies.   If you know someone that may be interested in working with us on our labor of love, please share this information and have them contact us.

We'll let you know as soon as we publish one of our new projects. Thank you again for all your support.

All the best,

Myriam and Traci

Clive Richards Contest - Sharpe's Pointe.com

Sharpe Pointe has a new feature up by Clive Richards, the man who buys and sells the props from Sharpe's Peril and Sharpe's Challenge. He's written a very charming article about how he got into the business, and we have some nice photos too!

Also--BONUS--He is offering one of the spears from Sharpe's Peril as a prize to the person with the best idea (for what--you'll have to go to the site to find out...).

The contest details are at the end of his article.

So go to the site, http://www.sharpepointe.com and see what Clive has to say.
